So, you want to buy some stocks...
What Is AmiBroker?
AmiBroker, by Tomasz Janeczko, is an advanced technical analysis program for
the Amiga and
Windows computers. Get the version for
your computer while visiting the official AmiBroker sites.
AmiBroker helps you make stock trading decisions by graphing historical price
and volume data. AmiBroker has all of the major features you need to look after your
stock portfolio, including a formula language to build custom chart indicators, quickly
search large databases for a select few to study more closely, a portfolio manager and
much more.
I am not the author of AmiBroker, so you should contact
Mr. Janeczko directly, or join the
AmiBroker mail list, for help with using AmiBroker. If you do contact him or register

What Are DalleySuites?
DalleySuites are groups of highly customised and integrated programs which, currently,
support AmiBroker/Amiga mainly by importing daily data for your local stock exchange,
since importing local data, by its very nature, must be supported by custom loaders.
Although AmiBroker has some built-in commands for importing data, I have tried to make
DalleySuites go the extra mile, by allowing you to do the daily ritual as painlessly and
effortlessly as possible, sometimes with very large amounts of data. Suites consist of
groups of importers for different data sources (if more than one is available) and some
other useful programs, for Canada, the US and other select countries
around the world.
While some Suites may include only one data importer (free data sources for some
countries are rare), all shareware packages have additional programs to help you use
AmiBroker more efficiently. Some of these support programs are vital to using
AmiBroker; some Suites even include programs such as data acquisition robots and/or
earnings importers, saving the user an incredible amount of drudgery!
Although the original programs were for my own use, I found they had broad appeal.
Many people told me that they, too, wanted to be able to trade stocks using their
Amigas. My programing allows you to do this, too, by extending beyond AmiBroker's built-in
built-in support for local data. If a Suite is not currently available for your market,
more custom importers can be made quickly, if appropriate data sources exist.
Is That All?
No! Without good data and an easy way to import it, you won't get far doing technical
analysis. AmiBroker is a powerful, multifacited program, including its own
programming language, presenting plenty of new possibilities. Some universally recommended
AmiBroker support programs have been made freely available to you here, including a
currency converter, a history exporter, an indicator and more. While the demo has now
been removed, a growing number of quote importer Suites are available, which also
include a growing amount of improved support programs (depending upon the country and
what data sources are available for its markets) made available only to Suite
purchasers.
ARexx & REBOL, two general programming languages,
are used because they allow me to do things that AmiBroker can't achieve on its own.
For instance, with so many varied data sources on the Internet, a powerful new importer
can be made quickly, one which has control over the many exceptions found in the data,
including errors. Normally, errors will stop the importation process and/or corrupt
your data, but using an external programming language gets around all errors (so far).
Market calculations for data not found at the source or made by AmiBroker are also
possible. REBOL is employed to efficiently acquire
and check data from various quote servers.
What Do You Need?
If you have good quality data to import, more data loaders can be made upon request,
as I have already done for a number of countries around the world. If you need an
importer for local data or want other types of custom programs written to support
